First eggs have stopped?

I'm new to chicken raising this year. I have 12 hens that are 18 weeks old. Last week we got our first little egg, the next day none and then one tiny egg every day for the next 4 days. Now, it has been 2 days with no eggs. I'm not positive on who has been laying, but I'm pretty sure it is one of my ISA Browns that has been very mature looking for a couple weeks. The past couple days though, I have actually heard her in the nest box making all kinds of noise and I just assumed she was in the middle of laying, but I'd find no eggs. Is this normal?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say it's just because it takes new layers a while to get into a routine. If she's walking around and looking healthy, I wouldn't worry too much about it. We think we got a first egg a while back and haven't seen another one for about a week.
Perhaps she could be laying somewhere else besides the nesting boxes?
Also, molting could be a possibility.

Well, I know she hasn't layed anywhere else because I haven't let them upside of the run all week. Now that we have eggs coming, I wanted them to get used to laying in the nest boxes and not in the woods where they typically go if I let them out to free range. And I don't think they melt so early, do they? I am also hoping its just the new layer thing. I'm not so much worried about the no egg for a couple days as I am worried about how she was seeming to be trying to lay with no results. Just want to know that that can be normal behavior?

Haha...I should have read through my post before posting it. Darn you autocorrect. Don't you know chickens don't melt, they molt. And I haven't let them outside the run, not upside.....lol

Are you positive she's actually trying to lay? Sometimes the chickens just hang round in the nest boxes for no particular reason. My hens do it all the time. Sit in there bawking to themselves and come out a while later, no egg.
The only serious-er thing I can think of right now is that sometimes when hens don't lay they could be 'egg bound', but if your hen comes out of the box, runs around and acts healthy, I don't think that should be a cause for concern. :]

It's funny when computers do that.
Although in summer my chickens do seem to melt a bit...
