Both by girls are laying now!!! [IMG]
I've been getting peewee eggs from Hazel, my RIR, for the last 2 weeks (she's only about 5-6 months, I hope they get bigger as she does) but nothing from Petunia my Astrolorp. But today there were 2 eggs in the coop. One in the nest where Hazel has been laying and a slightly larger one on the poop screen under the perch.

Does the golf ball trick really work?

    Congratulations...

Those first eggs are really exciting.

From what I hear, the first egg can take a pullet by surprise. Give her/them a little time and they will figure it out and the golf balls will probably help.

Congrats! Give her a week and she'll lay where the other girl is laying.
