Congrats! I'm a nervous wreck too lol don't feel bad. I think everyone probably is their first time around. I accidentally dropped an egg this morning while I was turning itI am starting my first hatch also! I'm a nervous wreck. I'm hatching blue laced red wyandottesI'm so worried about the temp and humidity but I guess it will work out either way! Good luck with all yours!
Oh man! I came back from feeding the horses and checked the temp. 108!!! yikes! Now I'll just have to wait till I candle at day 7 to see if any survive d:-\
I dont think they were at that temperature for very long. When I went over to the ranch...it read 100 degrees. I was gone for two hours. I dont understand how it jumped up that high in just two hours. Both sponges had dried (I had not wet them this morning). Since then I've been monitoring every 30 minutes....and I've been between 100&104. Humidity 39-50 percent. I REALLY AM going to ge a mmanufactured incubator. I just can't regulate this homemade one at all. I just hope I got the temp back down soon enough. :-/
