First hatch great to have you joining in but you might want to keep records of the daily events even if it is on here that way you can go back and see what you did correctly and what you need to improve on later ....

Thank you! I'm keeping records. I'll know what to change for next time although these being shipped eggs, I'm sure every hatch even with everything I do the same will be different. So far my temp stays at 100 with a little increase for a couple hrs in the middle of the day to 102, humidity is ranging from 40 to 50%...so far ok ...will know after a few weeks

Oh man! I came back from feeding the horses and checked the temp. 108!!! yikes! Now I'll just have to wait till I candle at day 7 to see if any survive d:-\

Oh no! I hope they're ok. I'm anxious to find out if that affected them. I guess we'll see in a few more days. Before you get a manufactured incubator you should try adding a CPU fan on the inside of yours. They're like 3 bucks and super easy to attach to an old cell phone charger. I remember you said you have a fan on the outside. Maybe try putting that one inside the bator if you could. I think that makes a pretty big difference in regulating the temperature

It's just like a little fan with wires on it, mine was 3 pin. I'd send a picture of mine but my phone isn't letting me attach pictures. You could google it

I have heard of people doing this before with a computer fan and I have some around but will wait till mine wont work anymore as a couple of weeks a go I had to take it apart again and clean it really good .......

I was really surprised at how well it works

I candled yesterday on day 4 and I think the majority of them are fertile. I could see veins in most of them. I would've taken pictures but I was using the flashlight on my cell phone as the candler. It's so exciting!
