I had to step away and cook dinner. It was moving and trying to zip last I had seen. I was gone for about an hour. Trued to watch the egg for about 20-30 minutes and didn't have any movement at that time. Before i could see wear it was breathing because the shell would move where it was zipped.
Sorry...It suffocated in the shell..So I watched it for a few more minutes.. no movement. We turned the hot water on in the bathroom and got the humidity up just a little. Started to slowly peel the shell off.. (the pieces that was already loose and falling off.) Still no movement. My husband took the tweezers and very carefully zipped in the same spot the chick had zipped in. No luck. The chick had already passed. I know the chick that had hatched rolled this egg over. Idk if that caused issues it not. Very sad moment.
I'll be watching the rest like a hawk! I won't be stepping away anytime soon.
I thought we had to let them dry first? It won't hurt to move them before being all the way dry?
They will dry in the Brooder quicker...Make sure it's warm
