First Lockdown starts 5/5/10 at 7pm.. I cant wait!! Who's with me??

So I have my first Lockdown starting at 7pm tonight (5/5)!! I only have 3 eggs from my silver spangled hamburgs in there but hey a lock down is a lock down right.. lol These are the first of MANY eggs I have going and the ones that got me hooked.. haha

I put in 4 from them but one had bloodring and I culled it but these 3 are doing awesome! I can't wait..

Whos hatching with me?

I'm totally there! Mine are due to begin hatching any minute and are in an equally scary situation which is just the reverse of yours.

Add to it that I can't just stop turning the Call eggs in the good bator, meaning I will not have a proper lock down, means I am on the edge. I am worst than the kids!

the ones about to go into lockdown are Silver Spangled Hamburg Bantams. Then I have Buff Orpintons, B/B/S Orpintons, Cucoo Marans, Lavender Bantam Ameraucanas, some Frizzle Test Eggs, Silver Sebrights, Golden Sebrights, Seramas, and Millie Flure D'Uccles.. I think that's all the eggs I have in.

I've seen all of them but the Silver Spangled Hamburg Bantams, I will have to look them up. You have a great mix there! Sounds like a lot of fun! I am just hatching some little mutts. Daddy is a Black Sex Link/Barred Rock and the Moms are Australorps. Should be decent enough layers if any turn out to be girls.

I have that pip, and I have to open the bator to turn the other eggs.....I wish I could just leave it closed til they were done.

I was born in Indianapolis, and lived in Brooklyn, Indiana for a bit as a child. My Grandmother and Uncle are still there.

I`d love to join you...just went into lockdown about an hour ago. I am trying really hard not to sit and stare at the bator imagining I am hearing peeps and seeing eggs rock. My rowdy 3 1/2 week olds are helping keep my mind off it by thrashing their brooder and spilling food and water everywhere. We just moved them out to the coop and now I can go back to staring in anticipation waiting for the new babies.
