I’ve found a slightly smaller lid, from the chicks vitamins bottle. Trialling that to see if I can get it closer to 65 which appears to be the holy grail???

I usually go for 60%

If I could get to 60 I would but I was advised due to size of air cells that slightly higher is good. It’s at 65. New chick shot it up so I’ve put foil over my tiny bottle cap of water and that’s brought it back down to 65. So many different opinions out there!!! It’s confusing!

I agree it is confusing! As we learn it gets easier though. You'll get the hang of it.

I simplified my humidity issues with a humidikit, I'm using a Styrofoam incubator and summer weather is so unpredictable. 4% humidity yesterday but we had monsoons and much higher humidity a couple weeks ago. Don't know if that might be an option for you but I love it.

At this point I’m never doing it again but I said that last time and as soon as I had my 3 beautiful chicks I was all I want to do it again. I thought I’d learnt a lot but these eggs have not been great! Am not enjoying what I have been told is a side pup so it’s doing all the work it would have done inside in view so all I see is it’s little Beak and it’s wriggling. Having to force myself not to try to help and give it plenty time.

Aw my wee maran has proper little fluffy legs. Side pip Still yawning. I truly don’t think it’s fair I have to watch all this. Out of sight out of mind!

My problem now is in another thread @WVduckchick its what I now know is a side pip. So am waiting, waiting. Waiting.with a highly impatient gorgeous fluffy bouncy bundle of energy but I don’t want to take her out and put her on her own. I doused and believe it’s a her! Humour me
