First pip, wrong end of the egg

Little more progress, we are at 11 to 12 hours now. I saw those two little pieces moving while I was getting ready for the pic. Still waiting...

It's the cutest thing...hatching. I'm going home after work to hatching eggs, myself. They started pipping today. I should have a few babies in the morning. Glad I'm off tomorrow so I can monitor the hatch, it's only my 3rd one, but this one includes some of my own birds' eggs. Never hatched my own yet so I'm excited about that. Never gets old!

I had one (named Frigidaire, Fridge chicken for short) that pip'd on the wrong end, due to being stored in a bowl on the counter top for a couple weeks before being put in the fridge for a couple weeks and then in the incubator.

After 24hr's I chipped all the way around the egg, leaving the membrane intact. She was then able to fight her way out. Glad I helped her, she's my best layer.
