First Silkie Hatch-a-long!

The instruction for the incubator say to open the air vent all the way at day 18, but then the humidity drops down to under 50. Should I close it some? The incubator has a fan.
if you have the rubber liner in there it may be keeping the humidity down. I had that problem.

I’m at day 20 and the suspense is killing me. I’ve been up since 4am checking for pips.
I did the same thing. now i have chilled out a bit. I should have chicks monday/tuesday.Lock down has commenced!! I am always anxious though to see the colors and happy chirping babies. I will post pics after they dry. Cant wait to see yours!!

We got a pip

Our first baby is out. I panicked and moved her to the brooder early because she was climbing and falling all over the rest of the eggs. How long before I offer her water? She’s not got her feet totally under her yet but she’s super vocal.
