First Time Egg Candler Scared!

I was getting really concerned that the membrane was drying out, on the egg with the chunk missing on the smaller end. So I raised the humidity to 82. Took out the 3 dry ones and put them in their brooder. Snatched out the old shells. Put mote water in the channels. Wrapped the egg in a warm moist paper towel. Gently moved the membrane and there is no beak down there. So I quickly candled. No internal pip Or movement. I think it has possibly expired. But I put it back in wrapped. I currently have 4 left in the incubator, 2 that have pipped one that has not yet and the poor little one with the chunk missing. I was hoping for 100%. It is sad.

wait and see the hatch isn't over yet. mine is still going just had a new pip. I hatch ever weekend and will it gets to hot. Its still gets exciting when they start to hatch. hard leave the incubator isn't it. I don't know how this cool weather is affecting you but I'm adding water about every 4 hrs. the humidity is really here today.

Started my incubator before I left my house yesterday morning. Humidity in the house was like 65% but the bator was staying around 32% so I'm happy. Now if the lady would just email me again and let me know when I can come get eggs!

its hot here today, my humidity has been 75-83. It is currently 83%, as one is zipping. When the sponge dries out I have been adding some warm water through the vent using a syringe to rewet it. This is so I don't need to open the lid. If the egg that got damaged makes it, it will be a miracle. I am learning so much though. It is a great experience.

Yea in the sticks again, working on trim around doors and windows. Why is trim so dang expensive? Lol I am getting to see more of my big roosters though. If I leave a door open, they want to come inside lol
Anxious to see your candler.
Not very close to snowshoe, and as they say "you can't get there from here" lol. I live in Parkersburg and my camp/farm is in Mason co.

Update. My hatch is finished 5/7 made it. one baby was injured prior to hatch and another was a late quitter, probably day 18/19. I have learned that my temperature was approximately .5 degrees lower than the digital readout on the incubator. I am fairly happy with the result for my first experience. Many thanks to all of you for your assistance. I will know what to expect next time. Thinking I might like to try a few turkey eggs. There is a hatchery about 25 miles up the road. What am I saying I haven't even finished drying the last 2 littluns yet!
