Amy is going to shoot me break the shell a little father back and see if its stuck all the way around is the chick peeping trying to move or struggling at all if so remove the whole end of the shell. It's ok if a little shell or membrane is stuck to the chick . try to moisten it with the Qtip again I would not let the chick stay in the shell much longer IT's drying out fast now . Amy is a little more gentle than I am . I use a dental pick to zip the shell and cut the membrane by lifting it up with the points of the pick . try to let the chick kick out f it can't take it out by hand gently if its cord is still attached don't break it let the chick lay there after that just leave it alone for a while but don't let it stick to the wire mesh

when I try to break membrane to left of where pip was then everything is ok, until I reach dry, but to the right it starts to bleed. It is trying to kick. It broke lots of shell on top of the egg, but no in the zip line. So do you think I should take the shell off the air cell end of egg? All of it not just in zip?

Bleeding means stop, the chick isn't ready. It often does take a ridiculous amount of time, but if the chick has fresh air and good temps and hatching humidity 65% or so ( -5% to + 10%) then it should try when it's truly ready. Kicking is good, it will be retracting the yolk and closing off the blood vessels.

I was trying to zip earlier and its been about 36hrs since pip, is this normal? Almost half of the membrane is exposed now. Cus he kicked off more shell.

No, 36 hours is a long time. 18 hours is average for my chickens and turkeys, haven't had one go over 24 hours. I have to sign off, but I want to wish you success if you try it. The bleeding should stop really soon now that he's kicking so much. Just try to keep that membrane moist. You may be able to moisten a cotton ball so that it is damp, not dripping, and place it in the broken out shell end to keep the membrane moist.

I tried again this morning and I got blood . I have to leave in about an hour , for almost 8 hrs . Now there is more membrane stuck to him. I wet it but I have no idea what to do. please help

If there is still blood, you just have to wait. It will not survive if you pull it out without the blood being absorbed. You've done a great job so far. But you can't make it absorb the blood. It has to do that part for itself
