I think it's awesome that there are young people who will carry on the knowledge, the values, and the work ethic when we bow out. Being firmly grounded in reality is a great way to tackle life.

I was figuring 16, but I do think I vaguely remember him saying 13 after he said that. I distinctly remembering him making the comment about kids, cause I had a ??? moment. I think I actually said outloud, kids? I thought you were one yourself.....lolIt is impressive the knowledge and understanding, and the likeable personality he has for a 13 year old.

Hmm well.. to me that looks more like a day 14-15 egg. I am just a newbie myself. Amylynn can probably help you but I would go ahead and not stress maybe they are just a little small or late developers. Could hatch day 22-23 instead of day 21.Hey coleson now that you are a professional I may need some tips. I just put my 7 eggs in lock down I originally set 12 eggs but 5 were not fertile and were removed. Here is a pic of my day 18 candle. They don't seem to be as full as other day 18 pics that I have seen and I think the air cells could be larger. What do you think?

nevermind, he seems fineThank you guys for all the nice comments, Amy I wouldnt even think of having kids at my age. Just chickens. One more question. Sometimes when Ted drinks he chirps a lot and seems to have to work hard to swallow (move beak up and down longer than Chip and Mic) is this normal?![]()

Good job, Coleson. It does look a bit behind an 18 day development. Don't be surprised if it does take a day or so longer to hatch. With that being said I had a couple that looked looked like that in my last hatch and I thought they'd be late if they did hatch at all. All but one of my eggs hatched days 19/20 except one that looked like this. I didn't think he'd hatch, but he did, early day 21...lolHmm well.. to me that looks more like a day 14-15 egg.
