I got some video yesterday at my Day 14 candling!! So far still have 22 babies growing!! YAY! I think I'm going to stop turning on Day 17... which will be TUESDAY! Can't believe how fast this is going!

I spotted a seeping egg!! Was looking in the incubator this evening and saw some hard glistening stuff. It was on a Marans egg that I had marked as questionable because all I saw from the start was a weird block dot. Glad I caught it now!

So I'm down to 21 left. Day 16 today!

Day 18 today!!! My plan was to go into "lockdown" once I noticed either an internal pip or the air cell drawing down. So I weighed all my eggs this morning, candled and marked air cells. Majority it appeared had drawn down. I had 1 clear marans egg so I removed that. I put all the eggs centered best I could and with them touching each other. Then I added some water. Not a ton but I want to go slowly and see how far it rises before I add more. I've seen some of the eggs wiggling since last night which is SUPER exciting!! I have 20 eggs left after setting 27. Not bad at all for shipped eggs if ya ask me!

So how where your results I'm guessing they should have hatched two or three days ago. How was your hatch?

Today is hatch day, still no pipping! Only 8 out of 28 shipped eggs made it to lockdown . :-(

So sorry for the late update!! My computer totally zapped this weekend - horrible timing!! I am now stuck to posting and reading on my phone until I can get it fixed. With that said my results were GREAT!!

20 eggs, out of 27, made it to lock down. 18 chicks hatched!! 19th chick was pipped and stuck. It was midnight Saturday and I made the call to go to sleep and give it a couple hours to see if it could zip. It had been pipped with it's beak out for 16-18hrs already but was breathing. Well I woke up around 4am and it had passed. I was so upset. I really was mad at myself for not helping it. I should have but I was scared. Anyway - the 20th egg was a Marans and was clear! I had suspected it was because I couldn't see into it and it didn't look like the rest. But I gave it a shot anyway. So 18/19 fertile eggs hatched!!! Lots of big fluffy butts!! Here are some pics!
