Hello! I am trying to hatch these 2 mallard eggs that were abandoned at my friend's house. I had them under a heat lamp the first day and my incubator got here the next evening, so we are 10-12 days in the cycle. Does this look normal? I see them swishing around but cannot make out the body. In one of them I see two distinct dark spots??? The video shows it better but it won't let me post a video. I can email it if someone has some input.

the second and third pictures the dark spot looks like the embryo. It is the way it is in chicken eggs and the swim around dance around.
If duck eggs are 28 days then give another 7 days prolly see more.

If they are moving thats a great sign! You wont be able to make out a body until much later in incubation. You'll eventually see a dark mass.
To post a video, you have to upload it to Youtube, and then post the link here.
The veins look strong, and they look alive for sure! Congratulations!
