First time hatchers hatch A-long!

Hello! I hope it's ok to share these two with you? I'm a total newbie.

They are the very first chicks I have hatched via an incubator! The yellow first and the grey one 2nd. Unfortunately I've no idea what they are, we have a slightly mixed flock of mongrels and random breeds and an orpington cross roo! Still, they are cute and I'm so proud!
Of the 14 eggs that made it to lockdown, 5 are left to hatch- one is in progress so I'm keeping everything crossed.
It's more than ok to share these! How cute are they? ❤️ Fingers crossed you get 5 more soon!

Day 20 and I have my first pips! I'm so excited! I see 5 eggs with pips so far this morning

Awww how adorable! So what are your plans now? Going to hatch more? I think I have incubator fever and must hatch more! Lol

I'm not gonna hatch more for now. I don't think i'll be able to handle more babies!
I completely understand that lol we are replenishing our older laying hens so I will have room for these and that is it for layers. We did this batch as a test to see how well the incubator works etc and then will start hatching American Bresse to build up a self sustaining meat flock so I'll be ordering those eggs in a couple more days.
