Hello! this little guy is an abandoned duck egg the mother duck didn't come back within a week so my friend took them and gave them to me. there was only 1 surviving egg, the other got squished by something unknown. The little duck was growing beautifully and I was doing all the correct steps to hatch even saw it moving around in the egg. I'm nervous about how the little guy is doing, recently I can't see it moving in the egg and I wasn't sure if it was still alive or not. I'm unsure about how old it is since it was abandoned but I've had it for around 24 days counting the week the mom wasn't with it. If anyone can help me out I'd greatly appreciate it!

Are you using a incubator? Lockdown and wait.
Good luck. First it will internally pip. Then externally pip and then zip out. Entire process can take 48 hours.
Hi! Thank you for responding i'm really stressing.
Yes it's been in a incubator since I've had it. I'm more stressed because i've seen people say how their eggs are moving around and mines not. It doesn't stink so I know it's not dead. I'll keep him in there for a few more days and hopefully it'll start piping. Thanks!

Candle it to see what's happening? It will move if alive.
I can't see it moving around in the egg yesterday that's why I was worried. I don't wanna keep taking out of the incubator if it needs to be in lockdown.

Ducks take their time. Be patient and hopefully you will have a duckling in a few days.
My duck eggs usually go 27 days before pipping.
They take longer to hatch than chicks.
Okay! Thank you so much for replying it eases my worry a little bit.
