first time hatching goose eggs :o

Pics
It's hard to take pics due to the shape of the bator heheh
Is your brooder warm?

The incubator has done its job It does not need to stay in there anymore.
The quicker she starts eating and drinking the better.

Yay! :celebrate Congrats on the hatch :jumpy Hope the little won’t be too lonely while you hatch out some ducklings for it.
Looking forward to more pics when it’s out of the bator :pop

Yep, he has just been moved in the brooder, I am a little worried cause I haven't seen him stand up for prolonged periods of time, just a few secs, so I can't see if the bedding I have put for his brooder (paper towels) has enough friction with his feet. I wouldn't wanna cause him leg problems.

Welp, nevermind what I said above, he is now standing and eating :) haven't seen him drink yet but I showed him where the water is at so he should be able to find it once he is thirsty

he really is ahahah, my bator is rated for 8 goose eggs, had to leave 2 out because this batch had really big eggs, usually they are about 150g fresh, these were about 180g ahahah
Is he doing goosey things well now?

oof, currently debating whether i should hatch malard ducks or indian runner ducks next, to keep him some company before joining the flock of adults lol, give me suggestions
