oof, currently debating whether i should hatch malard ducks or indian runner ducks next, to keep him some company before joining the flock of adults lol, give me suggestions

both are relatively easy to get, one i'd have to get it shipped, the other i could go pick it up in around a hour by car, cost-wise they're the same tho

yep, probably a good idea plus malards are really more of a ornamental species than anything, they are usually not kept in captivity since there are plenty in the woods around here so to get the meat they just hunt them instead lol, runners instead are good egg layers which is always something i can appreciate heheh, i'll start talking with the guy who would sell me the eggs, let's see what we can agree on

Lol now that he is completely dry I noticed how flat his body is, it looks like he went into an hydraulic press, his chest is sooo flat ahahh

Wew, he is 2 days old! He is super active, but I think he feels lonely, when I get into his room he comes up to me and calls out for me, he also loves to be handfed, I'll pick up some of his food and he'll eat it from my hand
