First Time Hatching....Round 2

Yep I have got Dorks in the incubator. Bought 12 she sent 18. Candled a couple of days ago and one was clear and 5 had blood rings. I have been having temp issues.

But as of right now I have 12 healthy growing eggs

So I guess I am technically 12/12. Not to bad. Oh and I have 7 under the broody. She crushed one today, and it had feathered and everything. So sad, those babies are so close to hatching.

This hatch is taking much longer than my first hatch. I had two hatch yesterday ,so far 13 more today. All hatched so far are from a combo of my eggs, and a banty grab bag I got on ebay. The other bunch, a frizzle bantam cochin mix (the ones I really want to hatch,shipped from an ebay seller) aren't doing ANYTHING yet ...I'm gettting a little concerned.....
on the BRIGHT side, the little banty cochins from the grab bag are so CUTE!

Well, I think my eggs are done hatching, and I am going to call this hatch a SUCCESS! Out of 25 total eggs locked down ( 9 LF barnyard mix from my girls, and 16 frizzles and other assorted banty eggs that were shipped by 2 different sellers) I so far have 21 hatched!

I am going to wait throughout the day today to see if I get any pips on the remaining eggs.

How Is everyone else's hatch coming along?

Happy all of you have had good success. How does it compare to you first hatches? Better I hope.
Now that your done we get to start. Lockdown starts tonight and hatch starts Tuesday I hope.

I know what you mean! We had 19 on our 1st hatch. We sold two pullets yesterday to a friend and we know of someone who wants six, but I might need to advertise on Craigslist and get rid of some more. Eighter that or I might have to relearn the art of butchering. I haven't done that since growing up on the faily farm.

I didn't do as well in this hatch as my first, but i used some shipped eggs this time and some of my own, so i am really happy! 21 out of 25! I can't complain!

I am selling some of them--probably will do craig's list in a couple days...
