First Time Hatching....Round 2

ran into an old friend while taking a walk with the dog
she and her boyfriend are going to take the four from my first hatch
and whatever others from the second hatch i decide not to keep

it's great relief, because it gives me more time to get my coop
and chicken tractor built,
but i'm going to miss my four horsemen and worry about their safety

Just got home from church and walked by the incubator to check temps and thought I heard a peep. Sure enough 4 of the bantums have pipped. Early again and I really worked on keeping the temps lower this time. The 2 bantums were first on the last hatch maybe where they are so much smaller they develope faster. I don't know but the count down has begun and I'm so happy

Yay! on all the hatching! I sold 8 of ours and have 8 left (but my daughter is keeping 7 of the silkies), I have to build another coop for the silkies...

I am trying to restrain myself from getting more eggs right now to hatch though! I really want to raise some cornish cross for meat birds but am unsure if I can!

Morning is here and we have 5 D'uccle chicks, at least one more ready to pop out and a few more pipps. None of the other breeds or the turkeys seem ready for the chalange but there is still plenty of time. I'll have to get the brooder ready tonight when I get home.
Who else is left on this 2nd try, except Kathryn?

Ok I have peeping coming from the incubator!! It is the egg that my broody cracked. It is due on Wednesday, and the rest to the eggs are due on friday. So technically I dont go into lockdown until Wednesday. Help!! What should i do? I was thinking about putting the egg back under the broody once it pips. What do you guys think?
