First Time Hatching....Round 2

i checked at five o'clock too, that must be eastern chicken time.

so far, six are quiet, one pipped, and fourteen hatched.

it's easier to count the non-hatched eggs as opposed the chicks.

How funny, I guess I am not the only person who went to the incubator first thing this morning. I jumped out of bed at 6:00 am (mountain time) to see what happened overnight.

So far I have 7 chicks out of 42 eggs, and lots of pips. My backyard eggs are hatching first, but lots of pips in the shipped eggs, and at least one chick from a shipped egg is out! I sure hope the shipped eggs hatch better this time....

thank you, i was hoping for more blacks and blues than splashes and it's worked out that way.

couldn't get the temp up in the incubator, so i moved them back to the incubator for now,

while i was doing that moved the non-hatched eggs and heard chirping from inside of one, now concerned about the humidity drop when i opened the lid for so long

They are nice looking birds and you should be very happy

I have some BLRW eggs that I purchased and hope they do as well as yours. What breed are yours?

And now I want some blue orpingtons, those babies are gorgeous. I still have 6 days till my shipped eggs hatch. and 4 days till my broody starts hatching.
