Oooh I'd love a lavender orp. I have a buff pair of bantam orps- absolutely adorable and such good natures.

Got my first pip!!! Yeah!!!!

And there is nothing wrong with mutts! I just wanted something different and found these locally, so I went for it. I do think they will be beautiful though.
I also saw a hen/roo pair for sale for $50!! If I could sell a pair for that, I'd hatch them every day! Lol

First one pipped while I was taking a short nap around 6:00 pm. Almost 5 hours and nothing new, no more pips. But it was a good strong double pip, and I've seen the loose shell pieces move a couple times. Since I had a nap, I'm sure I'll be up most of the night....

Interestingly, I numbered the eggs from lightest to darkest. They were all different shades of pinkish to light brownish. I guess because they came from 6 hens. #1 is the first to pip!
