That's a good temp.
Same here, but he’s acting weird and wanting to swim at the top. The only thing that makes sense is SBD or the start of dropsy because I have an air stoneI don't really see anything that makes me think he's not doing well.
Bettas can get quite lazy. Especially as they get older. A lot of mine find a nice leaf to lounge on and just relax.Same here, but he’s acting weird and wanting to swim at the top. The only thing that makes sense is SBD or the start of dropsy because I have an air stone
Yeah, they’ve grown quite a bit but he was still pretty energetic a week or so ago. The way he’s acting is a new change and he won’t flare at his mirror anymore, he’ll dart away like he’s scared.Have his fins grown since you got him? Sometimes the males with really big fins get sluggish as they get older simply because the fins grow and it's a lot of drag when they try to swim. I had a copper hm who almost couldn't swim at all, his fins were so big...after I tried pairing him with my copper female and she ripped his fins to shreds, he was a lot more mobile :/.
Anyway I'm pretty excited, a coworker's friend is also an aquarium enthusiast and he's got a lot more live plants than I do. He was doing some pruning recently and gave me a small cupful of the extras! I've got some crinkles now, and a viney thing he couldn't remember the name of, and frogbit! Pretty excited for the frogbit, that'll work great in my spawning tanks.
