That makes sense. Never thought of that before. I do think he’s a little sick or something though because yesterday he was on his side gasping for air and his eyes are clouded over and even in the cup he was acting sick all of a sudden but he does seem to be improving slightly so I am going to give him another chance I think. At least a few more days. I am testing the water right now also. Don’t know what I am going to do with Ice though. Guess I may have to get a bigger team. Flame seems to be swimming around at least a little so hopefully Draco can recover.

I really like the little guy so I hope he pulls through.

The way I look at it is he’s still alive and if he was going to die he likely would have already so clearly he wants to live. Or I hope so lol

I’m really glad I didn’t put Draco down last night because he seemed MUCH better this morning. Was swimming around and everything. Still not tons and still laid on the bottom some and seems a bit tired but he was at least swimming around more, seemed more interested in me, and even took off zipping real fast when I got too close haha so major improvements. Much less lethargic.

I put some aquarium salts in his tank last night along with some more StressCoat and it really seemed to help. Which I’m glad about cause I tried the salt bath the other day too and that just seemed to make him worse but putting some in the tank seemed to help. Mixed separate first.

Glad Draco is alive but now that means I’ve got to go buy another tank for Ice

Salts are a good tonic that I use often.

I keep multiple betta in a tank by putting one in a separate container, usually a brooder used for livebearers to give birth in. I thank swap them out regularly so they all get a chance to get out.

Yeah I’m amazed at how well it worked!! Now he’s even better than he was this morning, swimming around tons and hasn’t stopped moving. Flame actually seems more lethargic than him now.

And that’s a good idea!! I’ve also heard of getting tank dividers so each can have half so maybe I should do that lol

Yeah I was reading it’s good for their gill and kidney function. Maybe I should add some to Flame’s tank

I think I’m gonna keep adding some to Draco’s for a few more days like it says and then do a water change and hopefully by then he’ll be fully recovered.

I’m gonna wait to add the plants to his so I don’t kill them from the salt haha

But I think a small amount like I’m thinking of adding to Flame’s would be fine, just not regularly for days like I am for Draco haha

Everybody should be more like Draco!!! He has a deformed fin (which I just noticed) and is also possibly blind or at least vision impaired but he doesn’t let it slow him down and he’s got more spunk and spirit than anybody!!

Along with a voracious appetite LOL

P.S. I know his tank is bare atm but I’m planting and decorating it soon so not to worry.

I don’t know that it’s necessarily “deformed” but best way to describe it. It’s way smaller than the other! Should have named him Nemo LOL

Almost wonder if I should move him to a smaller tank to make it easier on him but he seems to have zero troubles getting around now and seems to have made a full recovery so

In fact, he moves around so well it was near impossible to get pictures of him cause he wouldn’t stay still!! LOL or if he did, by the time the camera focused he moved! Lol
