This is a pond in my aviary so they won't get eaten by anything. Did you say probably nothing because of predators or that they aren't very cold hardy?

Not cold hardy. White Clouds can handle an unheated aquarium, but not cold temps.

Did I mention rice fish? They'd do great in Mediterranean winters. So would WCMM

I really like some of those fish on your list! I do like the "oddballs", and the ember tetra are my second- or third favourite tetra!

Yeah they breed like crazy my local pond that I fish in is absolutely filled with them

Wow!!!

I raised them in a 10g tank. When I brought them to the closest LFS (3 hours drive away) the owner was impressed with how healthy they were. An employee asked how I kept them healthy in a 10g. I answered "I did water changes daily". The owner nodded, and added "That'd do it".
