How big is you aquarium? With enough plants, all is possible. Sure, not all of the shrimplets would make it to adulthood, but a good amount will. Look into endlers as well

It’s only a 10 gallon and I am starting fresh with new plants and everything so there wouldn’t be that many using spots for the shrimplets. I was thinking of possibly letting the tank mature and the shrimp colony to get really large before adding any fish. Well, if I wanted to add fish by then.

Two recommendations:

1. Choose one variety of shrimp per tank
2. Don't get Ghost shrimp, they're vicious

I got RCS at a big box pet store, and the clerk accidentally added a Ghost shrimp. Okay. The next day my little shrimp tank was littered with the torn up bodies of the RCS, and one live Ghost shrimp. I returned it and the body parts for a refund. Poor little things.

Wow. Since you're a little bit of a neo expert, I have a few questions. Got 5 yellow cherry shrimp in the aquarium, got them with the chillis. I'm 99% sure all are male. I'm holding out some hope because I don't know if they're juveniles, or adults. If they're adults, they're definitely male. But how do I figure out if they're adults or one maybe two molts away from adulthood?

That's a good question, you should ask an expert, which I am not.

However I recall reading that as the females approach maturity they get bigger and more colorful, and develop a darker area that looks as if they have a saddle on their back. I've seen it with my Red Cherry shrimps.

You're being very humble . Currently none of mine have a saddle. Most if not all are intensely colored, but that is grade dependent I believe. I can also see some slight differences in size. Does this mean yay females?

Some of the shrimp are swatted away but it appears to be just by accident.
