Well, Taki wins the prize for my shortest lived betta fish. A few weeks ago he stopped eating and last weekend I noticed he was pineconing😄 After only two months, I had to say goodbye on Tuesday.

Yesterday I was surprised that the first thing I did after waking up was look for him in the tank. Since my errands for the day took me past the LFS (OK, not really...but they did at least put me in the same town and its an hour drive from here to there) I stopped in to see what they had.

And this guy came home with me! He still needs a name, so feel free to throw some at me if you want.

We added 3 angelfish to the 110gal (the fish husband set this tank up for in the first place)! We thought they were koi angels, but when we read the tag on the tank it turns out we got "full red" (aka red devil?) So I'm really excited to watch their color change as they mature.

And I think we may have finally figured out why so many of our fish keep dying. I suspect one of the fish we got last week had mouth fungus. We've lost several platies, swords, and mollies. The one we lost last night was the only one we really noticed a lot of symptoms. The others just seemed skinny, maybe lethargic, and then "suddenly" dead. They went from seemingly completely normal to dead in less than 48 hours.

Gorgeous and wow! Sorry.
