Flaking Cochin- is it dandruff?

I was snuggling with my Cochin last night who is about 3 months olds give or take. She is acting completely normal for her, she is super shy, scared and stand-offish.
While I was petting her I noticed all these flakes. Does anyone know what it is? I tried to look at her skin, but I couldn’t get a good view of it. The dirt she plays in is brown or red so white ashy flakes doesn’t make sense.

Chickens do have dander. My Rhode chicks have this so no need for alarm. This is perfectly normal. I see flakes on mine to, so don't worry. By the way, beautiful chick!

Oh yes. Chickens have dandruff as do cats, dogs..... and sadly, me.
