Flock Fresh Bedding with Pine Shavings?

I recently purchased a brick of Standlee Flock Fresh Bedding. I just put fresh pine shavings in my coop. Can Flock Fresh be added to the pine shavings or should it be used alone? (I know Flock Fresh will encourage pecking and scratching and am not sure if there is any reason to discourage that in the pine shavings)
