Well, you are a brave one to have so many dogs... dogs drive me crazy... we have two.. a Boykin Spaniel and a Standard Poodle.. but my heart belongs to my cats... and now my chickens ..I’ve just got 4 new chicks.. to add to my 8 gals I got last spring.
I have 5 children but only 1 teenager left at home

My husband always says he's * Last Best *. The cats come first, then the chickens, then the kids [5 grown & flown] & then, maybe him. Dogs drive me nuts too & I won't keep one.

Although, I have to admit... hubby comes before the kids...he doesn’t think so though

lol It's funny because dogs like me... *sigh*. I don't mind the well behaved ones but the yappers & crappers I can do without & I know myself well enough to know I'm waaay too lazy to train properly or insist I'm the leader of the pack.

We're getting a cold snap here in north Florida...we will be in the low 30s tonight. It's quite brisk outside currently but the tarp over the mini run and the heat lamp for my bigger chicks that I've moved outdoors seem to be working well and everyone was out foraging this morning when i fed. The little chicks in three brooders are in a small room with a space heater and their heat lamps and are happy as can be. So far so good.

Great job love. It sounds like your flock will be happy during the cold snap. Let us know how it goes and how the flock is.

I actually like my poodle.. but my husbands hunting dog... he’s getting better with age though

lol That is Rajah ~ my mother's wedding present from my father. Not mine! Somewhere in this thread is the Rajah story. Poodles are smart.

They were a bit nervous at first but it didn’t take long to have some fun!!!
