This girl is a natural. I think Brownie wants some chicks nowshe goes over and clucks to them and watches them closely.

It even makes kitties poof up!

Lol! He'd fit right in with brahma grumpy faces!

My lil Australorp girl is doing good! She still gets nipped at at bedtime a bit but no blood or true aggression which is awesome!

The boys are doing good too, guard pup has chased off two predators so yay!

Morning guys!

Well went from very warm to very chilly with sleet this morning! The boys pen was somewhat protected till this morning when the winds shifted, so in the sleet trying to quickly ziptie a tarp to one end/corner. So cold!!
They better know i care!

I put the big girls water and food into their coop till this passes just too cold and wet for me to let them free range right now. If it stops raining I'll let them out for a bit wasn't ready for "winter" just yet

Good afternoon!

Last night coop count showed i was missing one of my barred rocks. Going out to look for it or at least see if there are signs of a struggle

I also got all the makings for a road sign for eggs! We have 5 dozen and the girls are laying 5 to 10 eggs a day!!
I know that that will start to slow down if cold weather stays.
