Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Pics
The sow's in heat and the boar has been nudging her around, Haven't actually seen him on top of her yet. Fingers crossed though, Really want some baby pigies this spring :fl
luved that pic, Made my mouth water just looking at it. I personally prefer duck over chicken.. I say the game-y-er the better :drool

I hope you get piglets! I can't wait to see them if you go!

Treat Update:
Chickies got Pulled Pork and Beef. They went crazyyy!
They get sooo excited when they get a treat.

She is soooo cute! Does she bite? Or is she just the sweetest little thing?
She's the sweetest little thing! She doesn't bite. My mom's ferret used to like to bite feet under the bedcovers, and she'd bite my poor ferret hard enough to make her yelp, and she'd bite my wrist if I aroused her, and she'd bite it so hard, like she was trying to get to my bone. So finally I broke her of the habit. I trained her to stop biting by scruffing her every time she'd bite, and it worked! She and Grace now live together, and are great friends, and will play and have fun instead of hurting one another. Also, I trained Missy, the other ferret so well, that now she won't bite back when they're playing.

getting a low of -4(c) tonight.. Wish I had your weather right now :th Winter's just begun for us :caf I just placed an order this morning for some chickies, February the 13th i'll be getting 40 cinnamon queen pullets, 20 white leghorns, and 10 broad breasted white turkeys i plan to pasture raise for eating. Will be my first time raising BBs for eating so i'm pretty excited about that~
More exciting news thats a bit off topic is that i've paired up my sow and boar in hopes that they'll do their thing so I can have some piglets this coming April :woot

I'm going to try BBWs again this spring. Got 10 or so now going to be processed in a couple weeks but very small. And I'm expecting piglets end of feb or early march. I was getting ready to have my boar processed and he escaped, well everyone escaped from their pen. He got hit by a car about 10 miles from my place. So 18 months growing pork and no pork. ARG.

I always wanted a ferret but I really want another bird I can teach to talk. I have a yes its ok from my partner but im more interested in the chicken thing at the moment so won't get another bird until I have time to train it.
