Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Sounds like a delight where you are! Lol That was a snowstorm we got and it was the first time I have ever seen so much. I am used to a dusting or an ice storm but I did recently move north of where I was originally. Where are you located?
I am in Suffolk which is east of England.

More southern states do get snow here but not Queensland, not even tops of mountains, it’s to tropical on the coast and to dry out west. I’m in SE qld and we can get below 0, -5 at most, ice on the windscreen and frost on the grass but not even close to snow,
The lowest we've ever had where I am is -5 but is is rare, we usually only get as low as -2. Its -1 at the moment but no frost or ice so not so bad. We have had bouts of frost and a few mornings this week I woke to my ducks pools being iced over but I was able to smash it, tip it out and replace with tepid water and by mid mornings the frost had cleared up fortunately. I usually find it's the cold winds which are the worst, can be so bitter it chills to the bone. One morning last week it was cold and icey and one of my ducks found it hard to handle, I have a blanket I use when I sit out with them and that morning I had left it on the chair I use to sit on as I was in the run cleaning out their coop and duck house. When I came out from the run, I found my blanket was on the ground and the drake snuggled up on it with the other drake sitting next to him keeping him warm, made my heart melt, so cute. My daughter who was indoors at the time had been watching out of the window, she told me the drake was shivering and one of my chickens pulled the blanket down onto the ground then stood back from it for the drake to use it and she saw the other drake moving the blanket so it surrounded the shivering drake as he lay on it, then sit next to him to warm him up to the point that the once shivering drake was no longer shivering. Wish I could have videoed it as it was such a lovely moment but I didn't know it was happening because I have the run covered top and sides so can't see out when I'm in it.

Damn, that's harsh! Where I am in the UK we really don't get very much, most of the bad weather is up north. Trouble is we are so used to mild winters that when we get a bad winter which isnt very often at all, we panic and everything comes to a standstill. When I read about people such as yourself who get hardcore snow and extreme weather I realise how fortunate we are but when I'm out here freezing my butt off I find it hard to remember that. People up north often think of us as real softies and laugh at us because a bad snow day for us is like a walk in the park for them who get the really bad weather and extreme weather but in our defence, it's always harder for those who are not accustomed something which to others is the norm for them. Where I am we tend to have more rain and high winds than anything else and is easier to handle because we are used to it.
I have family live in Colorado, when visiting us one winter - which was cold to us - they laughed and told us our winter is more like their spring lol.

My kids won’t leave the poor things alone, they’ve already been for drives in toy cars and put in teacups for a tea party lol.
It’s going to another hot one here currently 32 celcius predicted 36, hate the heat
:goodpost: so cute! All look so healthy and well, clearly you are doing a great job caring for them. I'm assuming the little beauty is your daughter? She's a realty cutie.
