Flock/Life Journey's 2019

Flock Update: I got my little ones crickets today! It was hilarious! :lau When i first put them in they freaked and were sitting on top of each other to get away from scary little crickets!! :gig:gig Then Relish went out bravely and pecked at them and realized that they were good and caught one! Then she was running around chirping up a storm and then the chase was on for the others! :love:gig

On a blah note we learned that the yard grading makes it impossible for us to put the new coop where we planned... back to the drawing board!!! :barnie:caf

Im going to have to get a bobcat out to flatten my land out for my chicken coop. I have a man across the road I was thinking I will call him up when im ready to build mine and see how much he is. I have been told he is like the Mrs Mangal of the street but. A bit of a gossip lol but ive never met him so ill wait and see.
Im going to start watching YouTube videos on how to build coops and start adding more to my ideas.

I’d say my dad is equally hard on all three of us sisters. My youngest sister is only 10 and my dad keeps telling her she will be flipping burgers til she retires because she doesn’t want to spend her spring break doing extra homework.

. I hadn’t heard of surf n turf but that looks delicious!

Interesting!

. Thank you!

. Sorry about the hen :(

Nice list and thanks for sharing pics!

Nooo way would I be able to have 10 acres and only 3 chickens, all hens at that. I really think I’d go crazy if I didn’t get to be chicken crazy on that much land lol. At least let you get one bird per acre!

. She is beautiful! The Velveteen Rabbit is one of my favourite children’s books and I think the bunny in it is a Rex.

. Are pet rabbits banned in all of Australia or only where you live?

. They are indeed spoiled!

Ron somehow I didn’t quote your post...happy st. Patrick’s day to you too! DS is sleeping in his green onesie and I didn’t even realize that tomorrow is st. Patrick’s day.

We drove to Tucson to visit my cousins and on the way back stopped by TSC which we noticed along the highway. My dad took pics of the baby poultry.

That looks like chick heaven right there!!!

We aren't allowed rabbits in Queensland but they are allowed them in other states of Australia.

I think its good that his saying no. I think he knows its just making me even more determined to save for the bigger coop I want. And its working well.

I wish i had a bobcat owner near me! Where we planned all rainwater flows to that point and then out to the pasture area.... we also realized it's over part of our septic system :sick
But we realized this evening after looking at arial google maps that we could move it to the side of the house/ yard that we don't use. It's already got some fencing with a gate! :fl:celebrate It'll still have a tiny bit of water runoff but if we put down a layer of sand that will help keep chickens dry and allow water to move on. I'm so glad I married an engineer :gig
