Flock/Life Journey's 2019

DS and I are back in Canada. Ofcourse being the 23rd of the month my first flight was delayed causing us to miss our 2nd flight and staying an extra 4 hours at the Philadelphia airport. American Airlines gave me and DS each $12 vouchers for the delay and ofcourse I only read that it was for food/drinks only and expired the next day after I paid for a bowl at Chipotle.

So I went to a gift store and stocked up on junk food but they don't refund if I go under so a dollar was lost..oh well...DS did cry and threw things but he was better than I thought he'd be. He's sleeping on my lap now.

Looking forward to moving to our house on May 1. DS says I can start with one type of pet at a time so I'll start with button quail because they are easier to care for than fish. But I might wait until after my dad, stepmom and sister visit in June for DH's graduation since they want to visit Niagara falls so that might take a few days of travelling.

Lovely pics everyone, sorry I forgot to quote...that blue cochin roo is gorgeous..the gecko is cute..I saw one of those in my backyard in California. I thought it was native but now I'm wondering if it was someone's pet. It was mostly black and white though.

Five standard eggs so far today! One of the green eggs are a first egg and so is the small chocolate one in the back. I think the tan one is from Gimpy. I believe I have 7 out of 10 laying now!

Well I ve been really bummed as in order to pick up any if the chicks i have to "chase" them. So today my youngest and i just sat with them and slowly reached in... this worked a bit better but when we picked up the maran/BR ones they scratched me up. Blah!
But as we sat i got some pics of them. Somewhat decent too!
And then it was sleepy time after doing some sparring and flight fun! Ketchup likes to toe the line and is contemplating flying out of the brooder, she is slso the one that gets the sparring going too.

Their feet look pink against the pine chips but up close their yellow... which would make them barred rock but their feathers don't look right for that....
