OMG That looks like it is going to be an amazing coop! I cant wait to see the next stage!!!

What colour are you thinking?

If I have my way & can get in the colour range I want it will be a darker green roof & a teal for the walls... but it has to be super durable so I'm not sure how much that will limit me. Heading to Bunnings tomorrow after DH's doctor's appointment to choose.

Omg they are growing up so fast!!!
Their colors look like they are going to be beautiful birds.

I'm super excited to see what they'll finish out as I always tell them "what pretty messy girls you are!" After scraping iut their water and food bins again

Flock Update:

BBQ is getting too big! I have to hold her with two hands! She now has bright orange feathers on her chest... I didn't have my camera to do a photoshoot.
We had a storm roll in fast while i was working so when i came back out i saw all my babies in a row on the roost bar!

Here's some shoots of the storm moving in and the sunset...

My hubbie gave the thumbs up and we are turning our old shed into the coop!!! We'll start saving for a new one for in the yard. Our junk doesn't need a house... the chicks do! So he's helping me write up the plans and execute it with his engineering knowledge. Here are some start photos with some cleaning up pics (gotta get rid of everything around the base)


Those bricks are heavy!! Only got a few moved. Need my knowitall teen to help me

You may know the choko as chayote, vegetable pear or mango squash. Passionfruit= maracuyá but it needs a warmer climate than I think you have.

Oh awesome! And bummer... but I'll look into it just incase it'll love texas.

Aaaawwwww, cute duckies! I love ducks!
I’m trying to decide if I want to give three duck eggs to Nilky.. the BROODY Silkie... a friend of mine has ducks and can give me fertile eggs.. BUT.. to tell hubs that we have to come up with some kind of yard for ducks now ... all while in the middle of an expansion to the chicken coop ... he might have my head!

Im liking your design love! I might look at something like that.
