Yep. This is their 1st year laying so not sure yet if they will stop altogether for winter or continue to lay, just not as often.. My best layer is a BR & the only thing that has slowed her down so far is becoming broody. She's still popping an egg out most days.So yours are slowing up too?
Edit: Maybe I should add that having an open coop that faces east they are getting every last skerrick of sunlight. They were out as soon as they had enough light to see by this morning & it was quite overcast here. We've had rain on & off all day.


My oldest girl has spent 8 years in Chile & I am always in trouble for getting my times wrong & ringing when she should be sound asleep.
I swear my chickens think they are hard done by. They act like they get nothing.
