Ashley, according to the Chicken Health Handbook and online sources, this is a bacterial disease (just clarifying) so why not treat the flock with natural antibiotics? You can buy [cheap] echinacea/goldenseal capsules at walmart or any drug store. They act the same way pharmaceutical antibiotics do except they don't destroy the healthy flora of the birds' system. Also crushed Vitamin C tablets are awesome. There's so much you can do to help them. Don't give up.

What about oregano/oregano oil and garlic?

I have been mixing oregano oil into their food (I feed mash) and they gobble it up no problem, as well as making an ACV/garlic tea and adding it to their water. Seemed to help for a day then nothing. The Denagard arrived today, I gave it to my pullets, adults, and my momma and her 2 chicks in my brooder. Hopefully I start to see some results tomorrow. I’ve had 4 pullets die within the last few weeks and it’s getting to be extremely depressing! All showing the same symptoms (bubbly eyes, sneezing, wheezing, open mouth breathing, all are eating and drinking, the pullets and my roo seem to be getting hit the hardest, they were extremely lethargic and I had to hand feed/water and then they passed within a day or two)

Would it be a good idea for me to mix some yogurt into their mash for the next few days while I’m treating to help balance their tummies or should I wait till the 3 day treatment is over?

Nope not yet. If I don’t see any improvement with the Denagard then I’ll have to find a vet in my area that sees exotics.
Call this place and ask about testing. I think it's probably pretty affordable, no necropsy needed because it's a swab test, and they test for a bunch of respiratory diseases.
Avian influenza
Aspergillus fumigatus
Bordetella avium

Infectious bronchitis
Infectious laryngotracheitis
Infectious coryza
Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale
Mycoplasma gallisepticum

I second that. This girl's got a widespread infection going and it needs to be identified for the sake of the community. No one's mentioned Newcastle yet but Washington State is notifying it's residents to report any suspicious deaths. Today is day 3 on antibiotics, most of my chickens have drastically improved, all except my silkie and her 2 salmon favorelle chicks (hatched the 25th of this month). They are still showing all symptoms. Should I continue their Denagard for another 3 days?
