I've noticed my baby chicks will sometime fly at eachother, and somewhat dive bombing, almost looking like they are challenging eachother, what is going on here? Are these early signs of a rooster? Also i have about what looks like 2 week old chicks, I want to get a few more soon, but will putting younger chicks in with these cause a problem, i could see issues with the heat lamp due to it being higher than needed for the new chicks.

They could be working out a pecking order. At a young age, my chicks used to push, shove and peck each other for a brief period after we first brought them home. It doesn't necessarily mean they're roosters.

As for this dive-bombing thing, I haven't really experienced that before. I imagine it could be much of the same thing?
