Flying Rollers

Yes, once they are homed in. I would let them get familiar w/their surroundings.

roll downs will breed roll downs. Best to buy breeding stock after you've seen them fly.

I'm very new to pigeons. I have bred ringneck doves but have never even kept any pigeons. I was wondering what a "Rolldown" is? Also, how long does it take for them to get homed in?

Does this help? Our's roll for about 15 feet.(Video is not our birds)

And for homing in, we wait for ours to egg before we let them fly. For our birds it takes about 8 weeks or so. This is just our humble way

You want your rollers to free-fall and roll(Backflip) as much as possible. When you compete with them your kit(flock) is judges on how they fly as a unit and how many roll at the same time.

Oh ok, I got in now, sorry for the ignorance lol. I want to get a little flock of them but would they do good in a suburb surrounding. I live in the city but i'm not too cramped. It's a town not a big city lol.

Thanks for your help.
I'm not going to compete or anything with my birds, they are just for fun.
He has a rolldown hen that he says is a good breeder and none of her offspring have been rolldowns, just her, but I was just wondering.
