One of my roosters seems to have some irritation of the side of one of his feet. I was really worried it was bumble foot, but I got a closer look and now I'm wondering if maybe the feathers that are growing in may be part of the issue. He and one of my other roosters were gotten from the same person and they are mutts. They both grow *some* feathers on the outside of their feet, but nothing crazy, usually a little scraggly looking tbh.

I bought some epsom salt so that I can give him a foot soon. However, I am a newbie and wanted to see what other people think of how his feet appears and what they would recommend. TIA!

Looks like feather follicles.
Can you get some photos of the top of the feet and legs? Are his scales raised from the feathers or could he have Scaly Leg Mites?
They don't appear raised to me on the top, but I will snap a photo tonight when they come in to get a better look!

If it is just feather follicles do you think the foot soak would help calm any irritation from it, or should I just leave him be while they come in?
