Its been in the 90s here the last 2 days. The last few days have been incredibly humid with pop-up thundershowers that at one point dumped 1/2" of rain in 10 minutes. We get that around here a lot as of late. My chickens free range and spend most of the heat of the day in the forest or snuggling up against the cool concrete of the house in the shade beneath the deck. They have plenty of water in shady spots and drink plenty in this weather. I go to the local farm market every other day or so and pick up melons that are starting to go bad. I throw one in the fridge then cut it up and give it to the chickens. It's not only a cool treat, but assures they remain hydrated in this heat.
When it hasn't rained in a few days, I turn on the sprinkler in the late afternoon in a shady spot of they yard and they enjoy wandering around foraging in the wet grass.
