If you have dogs in the area the puma will generally stay away though.
It should be noted that the holes are 1.5" which is big enough for small chickens to put a head thru.
My full grown Americanas never do but I have seen the chicks do it plenty.
I always make sure they have a fully protected solid wall corner to hide in.
