I am worried about my chicks! I live 600 miles from Cackle or less and they told me they would be shipped on June 1st which was Monday and I "should" have them by Wednesday! Should it really take 3 days to drive 600 miles! I am so worried about my babies!! when visiting my relatives they live 450 miles away it takes about 5 hours to drive. When I ordered from another Hatchery the chicks hatched on a Saturday morning and I got the call at around noon the same day I could come get them! Where are they now? I'm kinda trippin here!!

I ordered from them and waited so impatiently and they called me to switch some chick breeds around and told me they would send chicks on 5/27 and the same day I got an email confirmation with the invoice attached...all the chicks got here happy and alive, plus a few unexpected extras

...they are a great hatchery, just be patient

I just don't understand why so much time when it's only a 6 hour drive? More than 2 days........ when we can drive 450 miles in 5 hours doing the speed limit too? That's what I'm not getting

Just be patient. I only order from the Cackle Hatchery and all my chicks have always arrived fine. They will not bill you until your shipment is ready to go out. I have even ordered 2yo Peafowl from them, guineas, geese, ducks, etc. Usually around the 10th day you will receive your confirmation. If not, you can call them, but it is hard to get through so you just have to keep trying. Or you can send an email and they usually respond within 24 hours unless it is the weekend and they are closed.

Because they are not sending a special driver to deliver the chicks to you. They are going through the post office, so they have to go through the system. If you are truely worried, is there anyway way you could drive down and pick them up? Mine took 2 days to get here to Ohio and they were flown, not driven. I'm pretty sure they came Priority Mail, or maybe it was Express. I can't remember and I just threw the box away.

They did bill me a couple of days after I placed the order. It took 4 or 5 days before I received my invoice and a confirmation of my ship date. I ordered back in March for an end of May delivery. 1 week old and still going strong

still here...still waiting!

I'm feeling much more patient now that I know that others have had to wait awhile, too (misery loves company, or just good to know that I didn't get lost in the shuffle). Distracting myself with things that should have been the priority all along...I have a homeschool portfolio to submit in a few weeks and it's nowhere near organized!

Here, to help you distract yourself. These are my peafowl. a couple Dark Cornish, a few ducks and my geese, all which I received from Cackle Hatchery. The Golden Pheasants I just threw in for the color, I bought them at an auction.
