Welcome to BYC.
What has worked for me so far -- admitting that my experience is still limited -- has been to open the incubator, transfer the eggs to a clean carton, reclose the incubator to help it retain as much heat and humidity as possible, candle the eggs, then put them all back.
My reasoning is that I can keep the eggs warm in the carton and keep the incubator warm. The downside is a slight risk of dropping an egg moving them back and forth an extra time.
