Found 73 eggs!!

I strongly suspect I'll find a little treasure trove at some point, too - hopefully long before there's a 73 egg stockpile!:lau:lau:lau. One of my 5 girls went broody, and suddenly, our egg production went from 4 or 5 a day down to 2 or 3! Somebody is seriously slacking - or hiding a nest elsewhere. The 'holy-poop-cakes' thing is... we're on 29 mostly wooded acres they have free reign over, (only about 10 acres they don't *usually* venture to) and they could be ANYWHERE!!

I am kinda still in shock... Probably will just give them to the cats and chickens, as both really like eggs...

But here’s the thing I was wondering about... how long have my chickens been laying here!? Only three chickens were involved in this!

Count and divide by 3 still may have some to hatch if rooster was present.

Eggs can last a long time in cool weather, but I agree with BigBlue, and NanaCat, proceed with caution and maybe cook for the flock!

I would look up how to test if the egg is bad or not. I believe u drop them in a cup of water and depending on how/if they float will tell you if they are good or bad.
Just a thought proceed at your own risk
