I just want to confirm that I'm doing the right thing. Picked up 5 chicks yesterday at farm store; about 2 weeks old (few feathers). Noticed tonight a rare amount of blood in the straw. All 5 are very active eating/drinking and after checking bottoms, can't see diarrhea or blood on any of them, therefore don't know who the culprit is; changed bedding. I started them on medicated feed yesterday, but think they probably weren't on it prior to me getting them. I have liquid Corid, but am not sure of the dose, is it 1.5 tsp/gallon? I understand that this may be normal intestinal shedding, but should I start them all on it ASAP for 5-7 days? Appreciate any help you can give a new chick mom! P.S. They haven't been near my hens.
