**FOUND-Baby flying squirrels (info?)**

Please contact a local wildlife rehabilitation group near you ASAP! The sooner you can get the babies to them, the higher the chance they'll live. I'm a wildlife rehabber myself, and it takes a lot of time, special care, and training to properly raise wildlife. Best of luck, check the internet and/or phone book to see where the closest group to you is. Meanwhile, keep them in a warm, dark, quiet place. Good luck!

They look like between 5-6 weeks old. They may not drink alot of milk now. The gray squirrels wean a little later. If they are not injured you may be able to let these go. They are not like the gray squirrel in their sleep habits, they are nocturnal so they will be up all night, and feeding would be at night mostly. Look up Southern Flying Squirrel rehabilitation. I actually think if you let them go in a safe place at this age they would be better off. Dunno why they were even out during the day?!? I found one not overly-informative site... here's the link if you want to go look, it's a rehab for flying squirrels... http://www.squirrel-rehab.org/squirrels/photo.html

: The one I raised was a pinky about 2 weeks when we got it out of a fallen tree.

Yes, thats right, puppy replacement formula for them! I had one, and thats what you would give them. Also some orange and apple as well. When they are ready, you may offer them a nut, but only as a treat. Do you plan to release them, or keep them? You will also need to get some calcium powder, as they lack this mineral. Good luck!!
I just saw the pics!!! Awwwwwwww, just to darn cute they are.

I would say they are 8-10 weeks old. They looks dehydrated once they are good and warm give them pedilite for the first 24 hours also offer them cherries cut up apples strawberries melon. After the first 24 hours give them puppy replacement every 4 hours at night you can let them go for 6 hours. Feed with a syringe NOT a bottle they asperrate easy. ( I can't spell sorry) flying squrrils are very touchy to raise I would try to find a rehab for it. Also note that they need to have a spot where they can get off the heat and a dark place to hide the light bothers them

I can get puppy milk replacer later (moms goes to work at 4) but I do have some goat milk replacer. Will it work the same?
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with them. They seem to be getting "livelier" so I might release them. Right now they seem alittle dehydrated

Yeah, unfortunately the same happened here except we found the tree/nest and the mom...under the tree, and six babies scattered. Best of luck to you!! Keep searching for info, and do the best you can. They are a good age for successful rescue. Just keep in mind they are wild. We considered keeping our Twitter but he started to exhibit his wildness a little much, and has been happy in the back yard tossing nutshells at our head...lol! Little nutjob!!
