**FOUND-Baby flying squirrels (info?)**

So nice of you to take care of them. I wonder if they were trying to steal your chickens food? Were they in the area where you feed the chickens? Mom could have been showing them how to get an easy meal.
I would keep checking the area where you found them to see if mom shows up with anymore. You might get lucky and be able to get them back to mom.
Good Luck!

No ma'am, I found them in my goat pen.The first one was trying to get away from the chickens . I found the other one inside of my duck pool (it was flipped over and had rain water in it) I'm assuming he fell into it, I cant believe he didn't drowned or die from hypothermia.

So no food or grain was laying around because It was in the morning before I started feeding the animals.I have been looking up in the trees at night, and hoping to get an eye shine from mom but so far nothing. I highly doubt she would take them back now anyhow.

Update - The little guys are eating fruit, nuts and very little milk. They are also drinking alittle water. The one I found in the water is the runt.He is not as strong as his brother but he is still eating/drinking.

Got milk?

We found one several years ago after a very bad storm. It seemed that they had a nest in the gutter of our house. It barely had any hair at all so it was very young. We put it on baby goat milk replacement and a little honey then weened it to cheerios and nuts. It was a male and one of the best pets we ever had. He would ride in your shirt pocket. Be ready as they are very nocturnal. He lived for 13 years. We tried to find another one but it seems the laws of them keep them protected.

Well here is what you need to do. Turn them in to the Florida Wildlife commision because you need to have some type of permit to take care of the squirrels or sugar gliders. You still can take care of them for at least a week or so. My friend found them too. He had to turn them over to the wildlife commision because he did not have a permit. Good luck!

I have a friend who just raised 3 gray squirrels. Hers are mighty cute, but yours are absolutely ADORABLE! Best wishes with them... will you keep them, or release?

Update- The babies are doing good, still drinking milk but they are eating solid food. Must be doing something right because they are active, look healthier and pooping (alot)

We are going to keep them. My friend raised a squirrel a months ago and she still has the cage.(tall wooded framed with small wire, and perfect for adding branches). We are picking it up soon.
