I have 10 free range chickens that just started laying about a month ago. I have been getting about 6-7 eggs every day and figured that was about right.
Went down to check on the girls about 9:00 this morning and couldn't find my Columbian Wyandotte anywhere. After searching for an hour, I found her inside my neighbors back porch, at the very back about 4'-0 off the ground sitting on dirt ledge. Under her, I found TWELVE eggs.
Guess I will have a 2nd spot to check for eggs. Luckily my neighbors are my Aunt and Uncle and they love the chickens.
